About your piece

Some of our pieces undergo a pre-wash, pre-shrink or hand dye process (unless otherwise stated). With the hand dyed pieces, no two pieces are  the same colour because, each piece is hand dyed individually. Therefore, any imperfection in its colour or shape is part of its natural beauty and is not a defect.

Caring for your piece

Woven fabrics such as Silks, Linen, and Cotton are to be washed separately by hand or in a small wash bag in a machine with lukewarm water on a delicate cycle. Dry naturally, do not tumble dry.

If the item has been stated as hand dyed, add salt to your wash as that will set the colour longer. Always wash colours separately.

Knitted fabrics usually have stretch and we like to treat them as we would treat wool.

Your piece is to be washed separately by hand or in a small wash bag in a machine with lukewarm water on a delicate cycle.

Use only mild detergents free from bleaches, brighteners or enzymes. Rinse using cold water.

Always wring the water from the top of the garment downwards with a slight traction to pull the fibers back into shape. Dry naturally, do not tumble dry. Lay flat or hang over the line in a length wise direction. Do not peg for drying. When dry, spray some water mist, twist, roll and knot for storage. Do not hang.

If the item has been stated as hand dyed, add salt to your wash as that will set the colour longer. Always wash colours separately.

To Crinkle Fabrics you must first thoroughly wet the fabric. Next, twist the fabric tightly into the shape of a rope. Twist that rope into a ball, tucking in the ends. Then microwave for 30 seconds on high or otherwise dry the fabric. After drying, let the fabric loosen from the ball shape, to insure that all parts are dry and to prevent mildew.
